Position Overview

As a Recreation Services Supervisor, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for residents through engaging and therapeutic activities. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about promoting health and wellness in a supportive environment.

Work Environment
  • Work Term: Casual
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 8 to 30 hours per week
  • Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or equivalent non-university program lasting between 3 months to less than 1 year
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year in a related field
Responsibilities
  • Research and stay updated on current government policies related to recreation and physical activities.
  • Oversee and mentor professional staff, program leaders, instructors, and volunteers.
  • Draft research papers, educational materials, or articles to support program development.
  • Handle administrative duties efficiently.
  • Organize and coordinate special events that promote community engagement.
  • Provide expert consultation in the design and management of fitness and recreation programs.
  • Assist in transporting patients using wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Supervise and support patients during their exercise routines.
  • Assist with meal service and feeding patients as necessary.
  • Coordinate and lead recreational activities tailored to residents' needs.
