We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Mortgage Servicing Analyst to join our team at First National Financial LP. As a key member of our commercial mortgage servicing team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of commercial loans and ensuring that all terms of the commitment letter are met.
Key Responsibilities- Obtain, review, and analyze financial information to ensure loan criteria is valid and up-to-date.
- Thoroughly review and understand commercial lending, underwriting, and core documents.
- Make sound decisions and recommendations on property insurance renewals, CMHC undertakings, holdbacks, and insurance claims.
- Manage assigned mortgage portfolio proactively to ensure all required conditions for commercial mortgages are fulfilled.
- Thoroughly understand mortgage products and functions, including document management, payment processing, statements, holdbacks/reserves, insurance, and annual financial reviews.
- Adhere to policy and procedures, service levels, and compliance.
- Assess, review, and provide recommendations for mortgage-related approvals to senior management and investors.
- Effectively interface with borrowers, consultants, and investors, adhering to service levels and policy standards.
- Monitor ongoing progress draws/holdbacks.
- Ensure mortgage security is valid and legally binding, and supporting documents are provided in a timely manner.
- Able to mentor and lead by example.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to maintain and handle high volumes.
- Recommend and provide process improvements to build efficiencies.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Complete special projects as assigned by management.
- Adhere to policies/procedures to ensure AML requirements are met, when applicable.
- Advanced MS Office skills, with emphasis on Word and Excel.
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal, including confident and assertive telephone manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Proven organizational skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task.
