We are seeking an experienced Outdoor Adventure Leader to join our team at Kéno Adventure Camp. As an Outdoor Adventure Leader, you will be responsible for leading expeditions and teaching outdoor skills to our participants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the expedition coordinator and management to ensure the success of our expeditions and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Prepare for expeditions by planning routes, food, equipment, and first aid, as well as supporting our participants and facilitating team-building activities.
  • Teach river canoeing and outdoor skills to our participants, ensuring they have a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Support and engage with each participant, fostering a positive and inclusive group dynamic.
  • Ensure the safety and supervision of our participants during expeditions, adhering to established procedures.

Requirements:

  • FQCK Level 2 whitewater canoeing certification (minimum)
  • FQCK Swiftwater Rescue Level 2 certification (minimum)
  • Valid wilderness first aid certification (25 hours minimum)
  • Valid CPR first aid certification (8 hours)
  • Previous group leadership experience on expeditions
  • Extensive river canoeing experience
  • Ability to occasionally lift 50lbs with available equipment and assistance
