Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Athletic Therapist/Performance Coach to join our team at Movati Athletic. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional Athletic Therapy and Personal Training programs to our members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver customized Athletic Therapy and Personal Training programs to meet the diverse needs of our members.
  • Build and sustain relationships with new and existing Club members to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Conduct Athletic Therapy/Performance Coaching sessions, maintaining engagement and providing clients with suggestions, motivation, and feedback.
  • Ensure that all Athletic Therapy/Performance Coaching presentations and fitness assessments are delivered in accordance with set standards.
  • Responsible for scheduling new Club members for initial Athletic Therapy/Performance Coaching consultations and existing clients for retests every three months.
  • Develop and implement training plans that conform to standardized Club training practices and reflect the personal goals, limitations, and health concerns of each client.
  • Provide appropriate treatment for clients based on their needs, goals, and preferences, and evaluate and adjust treatment plans and personal training programs as needed.
Requirements
  • Undergraduate degree in Kinesiology, Physical Education, Science, or a related field.
  • Personal Training Certification and certification as an Athletic Therapist through the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association (CATA) are required.
  • Additional certifications or workshops related to health, wellness, and fitness are strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of related Athletic Therapy and/or Personal Training experience is required.
  • 1 year of sales experience is an asset.
  • Broad knowledge and understanding of injuries, disease, nutrition, and any conditions that may affect one's ability to perform exercise is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of principles and practices of athletic therapy and the prevention, assessment, and treatment of athletic injuries is required.
