About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to fill the position of Full Time Intervenor to Support People Who Are Deafblind. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals who are living with dual sensory impairment to live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting individuals in their home and community environments to promote independence and self-advocacy.
  • Using effective communication techniques to relay information and empower individuals to participate in daily activities.
  • Providing personal care and assistance as required, including lifts and transfers, toileting, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
  • Assisting with goal development and program planning to ensure individuals receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Ensuring accurate documentation and record-keeping to maintain high-quality service delivery.
Requirements
  • Completion of a college diploma or certificate in the Intervenor for Deafblind Persons program or a related human services field.
  • Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities and challenging behaviors.
  • Experience supporting individuals with mental health conditions.
  • Communication skills in American Sign Language (ASL) or Signed Exact English (SEE).
  • A valid driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and a clean current driver's abstract.
