Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and nurturing Childcare Specialist to provide exceptional care for children in a private household setting. This role is essential in ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children while supporting their development.

Key Details
  • Employment Type: Permanent
  • Language Requirement: English
  • Work Hours: 30 hours per week
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: Previous experience is an asset or equivalent experience
Work Environment

The position offers optional accommodation at no charge on a live-in basis, although this is not a condition of employment. The work will primarily take place in the employer's home.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with toilet training as guided by parents.
  • Take full responsibility for household duties in the absence of parents.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Accompany the family on trips, providing child supervision and housekeeping support.
  • Care for infants and children, including bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Implement discipline methods as requested by parents.
  • Guide children in personal hygiene and social skills development.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy home environment.
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • Help children prepare for rest periods.
  • Supervise and care for children at all times.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments.
  • Support the emotional well-being of children.
  • Assist children with their homework.
Qualifications
  • CPR and First Aid Certificates are required.
  • Must pass a criminal record check and medical examination.
