Job Overview:
- Social Media Strategy: Develop and implement CJPME's daily social media initiatives across various platforms.
- Engagement Opportunities: Identify and explore new avenues to connect with Canadians.
- Channel Management: Oversee and enhance social media opportunities for the organization.
- Audience Development: Define and attract new audiences for organizational channels.
- Platform Administration: Drive the administration and promotion of channels and platforms.
- Traditional Media Engagement: Manage advocacy efforts with traditional media outlets.
- Journalist Relations: Build and maintain relationships with journalists.
- Media Monitoring: Conduct media monitoring and manage responses.
- Organizational Communications: Draft media releases and advisories, guiding social media communications.
- Advocacy Guidance: Provide advocacy and policy direction.
- Policy Campaigns: Maintain communication platforms for policy initiatives.
- Public Representation: Represent the organization to politicians, media, and the public.

- Bilingual Advantage: Candidates with bilingual skills will have an edge.
- Translation Review: Review translations prior to publication.
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience.
- University or post-secondary education.
- Strong communication and writing abilities.
- Proficiency in English as a native language.
- Ability to produce professional, well-structured documents.
- Strong public speaking skills.
- Knowledge of French and Arabic is an asset.
- Technical proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google tools.
- Familiarity with various social media platforms.
- Experience with different media tools.
- Knowledge Base:
- Strong understanding of humanitarian and human rights law.
- Academic knowledge of Middle Eastern history, culture, and politics.
- Awareness of Canadian political landscape.
- Personal Attributes:
