Kitchen Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Helper to join our team at Cafe Celeste Bistro. As a Kitchen Helper, you will be responsible for assisting our kitchen staff with food preparation, cleaning, and maintaining a safe and clean kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruit.
- Help with cleaning and sanitizing kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
- Load and unload dishes, utensils, and other items from the dishwasher and storage areas.
- Restock refrigerators and salad bars as needed.
- Assist with packaging take-out food and preparing food for service.
- Help with sweeping, mopping, and polishing floors.
- Perform other duties as assigned by kitchen staff.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience in a kitchen or food service environment is an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
