Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Guard to join our team at Windsor Regional Hospital - Met Campus Access Control. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for providing proactive and reactive security patrols and response to incidents, while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring the safety and security of patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide security patrols and response to incidents, including interior and exterior patrols within the hospital and exterior of all buildings and areas of the organization.
  • Display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance.
  • Operate the Switchboard duties, including call handling, dispatching, monitoring of building alarm systems and CCTV.
  • Perform a variety of preventative and reactive duties, including daily lock and unlock of facilities, security escort service to staff and visitors, and motor vehicle assistance to staff and visitors.
  • Accountable for keeping accurate logs and notebook entries of all shift activity and calls for service, and writing accurate reports upon investigations or reportable occurrences.
Requirements
  • Diploma in Police Foundations, Protection Security & Investigations, Border Services, or Criminology required.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
  • Immunization Record (measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and TB skin tests 1 and 2).
  • Proof of double COVID-19 Vaccination.
  • Proficient in English, both written and oral.
  • Vulnerable Sector Check.
Certification Requirements

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C, and Valid Ontario Security License are mandatory requirements for this position.
