Unified Valve Group Ltd. is seeking a skilled Valve Technician to join our team in Fort St. John. As a Valve Technician, you will be responsible for making repairs to valves, assembling and breaking down new or used equipment, inspecting, repairing and testing equipment, and performing field service work as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Repair and maintain valves to ensure optimal performance
  • Assemble and disassemble new or used equipment, including valves and wellhead/tree sections
  • Inspect and test equipment to ensure it meets safety and quality standards
  • Perform field service work, including troubleshooting and repair of customer-owned equipment
  • Conduct tear-down and inspection of customer-owned property for repair, reassembly, and testing
  • Assemble, test, and paint new or used wellhead/tree sections
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members
  • Adhere to Unified Valve Group Ltd.'s safety policies and procedures
  • Perform general shop maintenance and upkeep, including storage, equipment cleaning, and shipping and receiving

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with PRV/PSV an asset but not required
  • Strong problem-solving skills with minimal supervision
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand, walk, sit, reach, and stoop frequently
  • Good computer skills and experience with Valve Tech considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a team environment and alone with minimal supervision
  • Ability to read and write clearly
  • Ability to operate safely in a heavy equipment shop environment and on-site
  • Ability to pass a Pre-Employment Test (Drug, Alcohol, and Fit test)
