In this pivotal role, you will provide expert guidance and consultation in the design, optimization, and maintenance of a secure computing landscape, particularly focusing on application and cloud security. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring that security protocols are established, executed, and assessed for both KUBRA's on-premises and online services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct security architecture evaluations and offer suggestions to bolster the security framework of KUBRA's applications, databases, and cloud environments.
  • Execute regular testing, code reviews, and security evaluations of applications owned by KUBRA.
  • Oversee cloud security configurations and change management, proposing enhancements to elevate the overall security stance.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps, Application, and Infrastructure teams to address vulnerabilities and issues in accordance with security protocols.
  • Stay informed about current cybersecurity threats and analyze trends to proactively mitigate risks.
  • Formulate a comprehensive organizational data strategy aligned with business operations and contractual obligations.
  • Demonstrate the ability to provision secure cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.
  • Identify and recommend appropriate controls based on industry standards (e.g., CCM) to shape cloud and customer security solutions in response to business risks and cloud-native threats.
  • Engage in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to evaluate security requirements and controls, ensuring implementation as intended.
  • Continuously assess emerging threats in the cloud to gauge their impact on IT and business, developing and executing security measures accordingly.
  • Ensure comprehensive logging and monitoring of all critical infrastructure.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Proficient in analyzing and interpreting relevant logs/security incidents.
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Adept at planning and overseeing complex security initiatives while adhering to deadlines.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Resilient under pressure with minimal supervision.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills.
Required Qualifications:
  • A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • 7-10+ years of experience in Cloud Security Architecture.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Information Security Risk and industry best practices.
  • 5+ years of experience in DevSecOps and/or DevOps with a focus on automating security tools.
  • Deep understanding of Application and Cloud Security principles.
  • Familiarity with Zero Trust Architecture concepts and best practices.
  • Knowledge of ISO27001, NIST, PCI, SOC standards, etc.
Preferred Certifications:
  • SABSA (Sherwood Applied Business Security Architecture).
  • CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional).
  • CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional).
  • AWS Solution Architect Professional.
