The Role:
Barminco Mine Services Canada Ltd. is currently seeking dedicated individuals for the Service Crew roles at the Hemlo Operations.


• This role entails a 14 days on, 14 days off work schedule.

• Shifts consist of 12-hour periods, alternating between day and night.

Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the selected candidates will prioritize their safety and that of their colleagues while executing essential mine services tasks and maintaining equipment.

The responsibilities of our Service Crews include:

• Extending water and air services, alongside underground infrastructure projects

• Relocating and installing secondary ventilation systems

• Constructing vent walls and brattices (partitions)

• Installing cable bolts and grouting according to specifications

• Moving and setting up pumps, pump-lines, leaky feeders, and firing lines

• Conducting repairs on services and equipment within skill limits, such as vent bags, poly pipes, and valves

• Embracing new techniques and sharing knowledge with team members

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent is required

• Proven dedication to maintaining a safe working environment for oneself and others

• At least 2 years of underground work experience

• Ontario Underground Common Core certification is essential

• Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Must possess physical fitness to safely lift weights up to 50 lbs

• Flexibility and willingness to assist with various tasks as needed

• Quick adaptability to learn new tasks

• Ability to thrive in a cross-cultural work environment
