About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist (PHD) to join our team in the Medical/Surgical/Cancer Care, Rehabilitation and Supportive Care Services department at Nova Scotia Health and IWK Health. As a Clinical Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, intervention, and consultation services to patients and their families. You will work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide psychological assessment and intervention services to patients and their families
  • Develop and implement treatment plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Conduct research and evaluate the effectiveness of treatment programs
  • Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals
Qualifications

We are looking for a Clinical Psychologist (PHD) with a strong background in clinical health psychology and experience working in a hospital setting. You should have a strong understanding of the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients and their families. You should also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.
