About Our Opportunity

As a valued member of the System Integration Digital Health team, reporting to the Director Digital Strategy & Governance, this position is responsible for obtaining a deep understanding of the digital ecosystem within the Nova Scotia Health System and leading the advisory on digital health direction in Nova Scotia.

Primary Accountabilities

This role will support the system-level governance, development of standards and supporting accountable measures of digital health in Nova Scotia. The expectations will largely be comprised of the development and ongoing maintenance of standards, policies, measures, and monitoring of accountability on behalf of Nova Scotians. The team will be supported by a group of individuals who will understand and improve the patient and provider experiences, and a resource who will assess the returns on investment, performance, and advise on investment guidance for the digital direction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of digital health strategies and policies
  • Lead the advisory on digital health direction in Nova Scotia
  • Develop and maintain standards, policies, and measures for digital health
  • Monitor and report on accountability and performance
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve patient and provider experiences
  • Assess returns on investment and advise on investment guidance
Qualifications and Experience

As the ideal candidate for this position, you will have a bachelor's degree plus several years of progressive experience in a related field. An acceptable equivalent combination of training or experience may be considered.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Significant experience managing engagement with internal and/or external stakeholders
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of government, and familiarity with the NS health system, including health authorities, long-term care, primary care, and more
  • Excellent strategizing, organizational, and planning skills
  • Superior project management and time management skills

Working Conditions
