About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to S&P Global's crude oil markets research team, focusing on North America. The successful candidate will analyze and forecast oil supply, demand, logistics, and trade fundamentals, providing valuable insights to strategic planners, procurement specialists, business development managers, and market analysts.

Our team is dedicated to delivering high-quality research and analysis to the energy industry. As a member of our team, you will work closely with colleagues to develop a comprehensive understanding of the sector and its players.

The Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
  1. Supporting research and creating analytical content related to North American crude oil markets.
  2. Managing and maintaining models and large databases to inform long-term supply and demand, and pricing of North American crudes.
  3. Acting as a subject matter expert for these markets, contributing to a wide range of S&P Global Commodity Insights publications.
  4. Developing and delivering presentations and thought leadership reports.
  5. Creating charts, graphs, maps, and other visual content that illustrates trends customers need to follow.
  6. Engaging with customers and potential customers as a subject matter expert.
What We're Looking For:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual with three to five years of market-related experience. Experience in analysis and forecasting of North American crude markets (US & Canada) is a plus. Excellent communication skills, including a concise written style, excellent verbal and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate across a wide range of groups and personalities internally and externally, are essential. Experience in modeling, forecasting, quantitative analysis, and managing large data sets is also required. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are necessary. Innovative thinking and proactive behavior, able to work effectively and efficiently within a flexible global team environment, are highly valued.
