Senior Data Architect

A challenging opportunity has arisen for a seasoned Data Architect to join Apex Systems, a global IT services provider, in a permanent role at an Enterprise Fleet Management company.

About the Role:

  • Support data architecture for projects and enhancements, ensuring seamless integration and governance.
  • Develop and execute data management, architecture, integration, and governance strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and data quality.
  • Provide technical leadership for architecture, design, documentation, and maintenance of databases and related systems, creating database storage structures and resolving database issues.
  • Collaborate with business partners to transform business requirements into environment-specific ETL, reporting, and data validation designs.
  • Design relational databases to support business enterprise applications and physical data modeling according to project requirements for data acquisition and security.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in data architecture, information management, or a related field.
  • At least five years of DBA/data development and data architecture experience (combined).
  • Proficient with PostgreSQL, Talend ETL, and Snowflake.
  • Strong ETL development knowledge (SSIS, ADF (Azure Data Factory), Boomi or equivalent) and data warehouse architecture techniques.
  • Team experience, including working closely with business professionals and technical resources.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with fundamental Data Governance and security concepts and processes.
  • Experience in the Fleet Management business is preferred.
  • PostgreSQL/Snowpro (for Snowflake) certifications are a plus.
