Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and charismatic Bartender to join our esteemed team. As a Bartender at Auberge du Pommier, you will be responsible for creating a memorable experience for our guests through your exceptional bartending skills, knowledge of classic cocktails, and ability to entertain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service by interacting with guests, adhering to the steps of service, and making recommendations on food and beverage items.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all food and beverage items to make informed recommendations.
  • Promptly receive drink orders and pour beverages with precision and efficiency.
  • Present beverages in a clear and organized manner at the service bar pick-up area.
  • Communicate beverage descriptions, specials, and information to guests and team members.
  • Maintain the bar area, including setting up and taking apart the bar, dishwasher, and cappuccino machine.
  • Stock and maintain all bar products, including mis en place.
  • Monitor and maintain beer keg and liquor levels.
  • Conduct inventory of all beverages and supplies and assist the manager with ordering.
  • Be aware of any special requests, including guest allergies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • SmartServe Certification
  • Proficiency in English
  • Degree or Diploma in Hospitality or equivalent considered an asset
  • At least 2 years of bartending experience in a similar environment
  • Impeccable knowledge of wine, beer, and classic cocktails
  • Passion for food, beverage, and providing excellent customer service
  • Ability to multitask and be a strong lounge server
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift and move beer kegs, liquor, and wine boxes
