Job Summary

Lycopodium is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our growing Drafting & Design team in Mississauga, Ontario. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing high-quality, cost-effective, detail 3D designs and general arrangement drawings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be proficient in all aspects of 3D MicroStation software and use those skills within our defined CAD procedures.
  • Be proficient in the detailing of materials handling and mine plant design in your nominated discipline.
  • Produce design drawings that are consistent with industry-standard techniques and comply with our drawing office and CAD procedures.
  • Demonstrate an ability to work in a team environment and have good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Be capable of producing design drawings within the project-defined budget hours for the defined deliverable document.
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of fabrication and construction techniques.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in 3D Microstation software.
  • An approved diploma qualification in Engineering Design Drafting of your discipline or directly related industry experience of 5 years.
  • Proficiency in 3D Triforma or Aecosim Software.
  • Working experience with ProjectWise online file storage software.
  • 5-10 years in relevant Discipline Plant Design process plant design.
