We are seeking a highly skilled Rebar Detailer Trainee to join our team at Harris Rebar. As a Rebar Detailer Trainee, you will be responsible for developing working knowledge of AutoCAD and the basics of our detailing system (RebarCAD). You will also be responsible for reviewing and verifying contract documents, detailing simple projects, and submitting placing drawings for approval.
Key Responsibilities- Develop working knowledge of AutoCAD and RebarCAD
- Review and verify contract documents
- Detail simple projects with little or no assistance
- Submit placing drawings for approval
- Process change orders to maximize returns
- Maintain all deliveries for fabrication
- Communicate with customers, placers, and Architects/Engineers
- Work with Detailing Manager to ensure specialty items are pre-ordered
- Participate in weekly meetings to discuss safety, innovative ideas, and workloads
- Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting or currently enrolled
- Two-year technical diploma from an accredited school or college
- At least six months experience with AutoCAD and Windows-based software
- Ability to read architectural/engineering blueprints
- Ability to work as a team member on projects with problem-solving skills
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Able to manage time effectively and prioritize responsibilities
