Position Summary:

As an Apprentice Automotive Lube Technician, you will play a vital role in enhancing the customer experience by performing maintenance tasks to assess vehicle repair needs and providing precise recommendations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct oil and filter changes
  • Perform thorough multi-point inspections on vehicles and document findings for the Service Advisor
  • Identify issues such as unusual noises or leaks
  • Execute vehicle repairs and parts replacements as qualified
  • Check and replenish vehicle fluid levels as necessary
  • Lubricate moving components with appropriate lubricants
  • Handle tire mounting, balancing, rotations, and repairs
  • Coordinate with the parts department to procure necessary components
  • Report any machinery defects or malfunctions to the supervisor
  • Document all services performed on the repair order
  • Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs as directed
  • Maintain cleanliness of customers' vehicles
  • Immediately inform the Service Advisor of any changes in vehicle condition
  • Keep the workshop area organized and tidy
  • Safely operate all tools and equipment
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Completion of Level 1 Service Automotive Apprentice training
  • Experience with ADP and CDK programs is advantageous
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Capability to meet physical demands, including heavy lifting and prolonged standing
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • High integrity and strong work ethic
