Job Summary:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Environmental II to join our team. As an Environmental II, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment within our hospitals and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate industrial cleaning equipment for floor maintenance and thorough washing of ceilings and windows.
  • Empty hazardous waste and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Provide training and orientation to Environmental staff as needed.
  • Assist with special projects and tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Completion of Grade 10 or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and operation of a computer, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and perform repetitive movements for the duration of your shift.
  • Physically capable to lift, push and pull up to 30 lbs of force.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry.
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning supplies and equipment.
