We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team at Penticton Regional Hospital in British Columbia. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing essential distribution pharmacy services to our patients.
Your Role:As a Pharmacist, you will be responsible for interpreting medication orders and prescriptions, assessing them for therapeutic suitability, and ensuring efficient and accurate dispensing or compounding. You will communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members for prescription clarification and problem resolution. Additionally, you will provide instructions on proper use, administration, storage, disposal, and potential side effects of prescribed and self-selected medications.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide essential distribution pharmacy services to patients
- Interpret medication orders and prescriptions
- Assess prescriptions for therapeutic suitability
- Ensure efficient and accurate dispensing or compounding
- Communicate effectively with physicians, patients, and other healthcare team members
- Provide instructions on proper use, administration, storage, disposal, and potential side effects of medications

Casual Employment Opportunities:Casual positions offer flexible work requirements ranging from 0 to 37.5 hours per week. Qualifications:To be eligible for this position, you must have current registration as a Pharmacist with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia. Active membership in the Canadian Society of Hospital Pharmacists is encouraged.
