About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Landscape Labourer to join our team at Canada West Equipment. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for assisting with landscape constructions, weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants, cutting grass, and performing various other tasks related to lawn care and landscaping.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and maintaining trees, shrubs, and other plants.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a well-manicured appearance.
  • Cut grass and perform other lawn care tasks to ensure a healthy and safe outdoor environment.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to create a lush and vibrant lawn.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers and other chemicals to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to ensure they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including lawn mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
Requirements
  • Will train on the job.
  • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Physical stamina to perform manual labour tasks.
  • Basic knowledge of gardening and landscaping principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
