GRADE RANGE: Grade 6 + $0.60 Lead Premium

Position Overview

This role is a pivotal leadership position that reports directly to the Supervisor of Warehouse Operations. The individual will oversee the efficient functioning of the warehouse and loading docks, ensuring compliance with safety protocols and HACCP standards. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and eager to master all aspects of warehouse and dock operations to provide coverage during absences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipper Duties:
    • Ensure the accuracy of shipping documentation before and after loading.
    • Verify that trailers are ready for loading.
    • Coordinate with the shunt truck driver for trailer organization.
    • Manage load organization to adhere to schedules and assist the Shipping Foreman with prioritization.
    • Utilize TMS, WMS, and SAP systems effectively.
    • Collaborate with various departments to ensure smooth operations.
    • Act as the primary communication link with carriers.
    • Report any issues to the Shipping Supervisor.
  • Shipping Foreman Responsibilities:
    • Oversee the safe and efficient loading of transport vehicles.
    • Utilize WMS for daily productivity and inventory tracking.
    • Foster a productive and motivating work environment.
    • Encourage and promote safe work practices among team members, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Experience in operating lift trucks is essential.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, particularly in MS Office; familiarity with SAP, WMS, and TMS is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational abilities are required.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and a willingness to advance in a leadership capacity.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive approach and a positive demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are necessary.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, adapting to changes as they arise.
  • A team player with a strong attendance record.
