Parts Sales Associate

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers with inquiries regarding parts, whether in person, via phone, or electronically.
  • Process orders for Service Technicians within the Service Department efficiently.
  • Ensure timely placement of orders to maintain workflow.
  • Manage and uphold appropriate inventory levels.
  • Evaluate damaged parts returned by customers to ascertain suitable replacements.
  • Identify required parts based on customer descriptions of vehicle issues.
  • Inspect returned parts for defects and discuss options for exchanges or refunds with customers.
  • Consult catalogs for stock numbers and pricing, retrieving parts from the stockroom as needed.
  • Recommend interchangeable parts, facilitate special orders, or direct customers to alternative locations for non-stocked items.
  • Unpack, label, and organize incoming parts in the stockroom following a systematic approach.
  • Handle and fulfill telephone orders promptly.
  • Keep catalogs and pricing information current and accurate.
  • Document sales transactions and conduct inventory checks.
  • Exhibit a positive demeanor to enhance customer and team interactions.
  • Comprehend and adhere to all company policies, regulations, and procedures.
  • Ensure all tasks are performed thoroughly, accurately, and within designated timeframes.
  • Work independently and effectively without supervision.

Qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of experience in automotive parts is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with CDK software is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive components.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
  • Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personable, adaptable, and versatile in approach.
  • Willingness to collaborate as part of a team and engage professionally with others.
  • Availability to work Saturdays as required by business needs.
  • Possession of a valid Ontario Driver's License with a clean driving record.
