Position Overview

As a Long-Haul Truck Operator at Diamond Freight Systems Ltd., you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of goods across various distances. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and vehicle maintenance.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years in a similar role
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while transporting goods
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to move materials
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, and cold storage
  • Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Execute pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle safety
  • Carry out preventive maintenance on the vehicle
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
Licenses and Certifications
  • Air Brakes Endorsement
  • Class 1/1F/A Licence (for semi-trailer trucks)
Documentation Skills
  • Proficient in maintaining driver logbooks
  • Ability to complete maintenance and repair reports
Travel Experience

Experience in long-haul transportation is essential for this position.
