William Osler Health System is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Department team, specializing in pediatric care.
As a key member of our interdisciplinary healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient-centered care to children up to the age of 18. Your expertise will encompass all aspects of the nursing process, from assessment and planning to implementation and evaluation of care plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
Your Responsibilities:
- Deliver safe and effective nursing care, adhering to established protocols and best practices.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Educate patients and families on health conditions, treatment plans, and discharge instructions, fostering a supportive and informed environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to all regulatory requirements.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment, demonstrating professionalism and respect for colleagues and patients alike.
Qualifications:
- Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
- Advanced clinical skills with recent experience in emergency pediatrics.
- Demonstrated competency in arrhythmia interpretation.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within six months of hire.
- Additional certifications such as Coronary Care I, Trauma Nursing Core Course, Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Neonatal Resuscitation Program, and Emergency Nursing Course (c) are highly desirable.
