Nurse Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the Anaesthesia Care Unit at Providence Health Care. As a Registered Nurse in this unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients who have undergone surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, identify, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care required to assist patients in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs.
- Develop, implement, evaluate, and revise the plan of care for patients, incorporating individual and/or group teaching into the care plan and nursing interventions.
- Provide direct nursing interventions for the management of crisis and life-threatening situations.
- Document information, including assessments, plan of care, patient status, and progress, in a manual and/or computerized environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Completion of a post-graduate critical care course or two years' recent experience in an equivalent setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
- Ability to apply decision-making and analytical skills.
