Municipal Group of Companies is a prominent entity in the construction sector, actively involved in various facets of heavy civil construction across the Atlantic Provinces. We are seeking skilled Asphalt Operators to enhance our operations.

Position Overview: Asphalt Operators play a crucial role in the safe and effective management of paving projects, including highways and other surfaces.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a range of machinery, including Rollers, Loaders, Excavators, Backhoes, and Graders.
  • Engage in physically demanding tasks requiring manual labor.
  • Maintain situational awareness at all times.
  • Ensure cleanliness of the job site and equipment to mitigate hazards.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and utilize appropriate tools and equipment.
  • Prioritize the safety of team members.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience operating construction equipment.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment, including the flexibility to work extended hours.
  • Competence in operating machinery safely and responsibly.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with colleagues and supervisors.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.

Work Environment:

The role of an Asphalt Operator involves physically intensive tasks, including lifting and maneuvering heavy machinery. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as hard hats, steel-toed boots, and reflective vests will be required to ensure safety on site. The position entails working outdoors in various weather conditions.
