Occupational Therapist Job Description

Lifemark Health Group is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting the physical and psycho-social recovery of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' physical and cognitive functioning in a clinic setting, conducting assessments such as job demands analyses, functional capacity evaluations, and cognitive abilities evaluations.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on analysis and clinical reasoning, educating clients on safe body mechanics, cognitive behavioral strategies, and functional tolerance activities.
  • Support return-to-work programs, including job coaching and accommodation recommendations, and utilize e-charting software to document treatment sessions and submit reports to stakeholders in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the inter-professional team at your clinic, participating in case conferences and case management, and supervising Occupational Therapy students as preferred.
Requirements:
  • Registration with the provincial College of Occupational Therapists.
  • Previous experience treating clients with physical, neurological, and/or mental health conditions.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a demonstrated commitment to post-graduate professional development and FCE Trained.
  • Previous experience supporting auto insurance, long term disability, and WCB referrals is an asset, as is experience supporting occupational rehabilitation.
