About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team at spot on news GmbH. As a Municipal Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development of conceptual and detailed design of municipal civil projects, including rural and urban roads, sewers, watermains, drainage, and more.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Lead the development of municipal civil projects from concept design to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Design and Engineering: Apply CAD/Civil 3D or Bentley InRoads knowledge to municipal infrastructure and road construction/reconstruction projects.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Prepare detailed design drawings, contract documents, and specifications for project tendering, as well as technical design reports and studies.
  • Team Management: Provide direction to Junior Engineers and Technologists, and work collaboratively with the Director of Municipal Engineering.
  • Professional Development: Participate in internal and external learning opportunities to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 9+ years of relevant experience in municipal design projects.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid license from Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO).
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of Civil3D or Bentley InRoads, as well as various software packages (Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets).
  • Soft Skills: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documents, manage and prioritize multiple assignments, and demonstrate a highly meticulous nature with strong attention to detail.
