About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Furniture Production Specialist to join our team at Quality & Company Inc. as a Furniture Assembler. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling and finishing furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and Finishing: Assemble wooden or metal furniture and fixture parts to form subassemblies and complete articles.
  • Quality Control: Inspect furniture and fixture subassemblies and finished products for conformance to quality standards.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare, sand, and trim wooden furniture and fixture parts.
  • Finishing: Stain or finish wood to specified color, apply toners, highlights, glazes, or shaders to obtain desired finish.
  • Reinforcement: Reinforce assembled furniture and fixtures with dowels or other supports.
  • Cleaning and Polishing: Clean, polish, and wax furniture.
  • Repair and Maintenance: Make minor repairs to furniture and sand metal furniture to prepare for finish and spray with paint or other materials.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Demands: Repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Environment: Noisy, dusty.
  • Work Setting: Furniture manufacturing company.
