About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Industrial Cleaner to join our team at Scotian Gold Cooperative Limited. As an Industrial Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our factory or plant setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Industrial Equipment: You will be responsible for operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse from the work area.
  • Maintain Hygiene and Sanitation: You will ensure that hygiene and sanitation practices conform to policies and regulations, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Perform Physical Tasks: You will be required to perform physical tasks such as bending, crouching, and kneeling, as well as lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs) of equipment or materials.
  • Work with Minimal Supervision: You will work with minimal supervision, taking initiative to complete tasks and maintain a high level of productivity.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this position.
  • Work Experience: Will train on the job.
  • Certifications: You will be required to hold a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, Forklift Operator Certification, and Aerial lift and aerial work platform Certification.
Work Environment

You will be working in a factory or plant setting, with a 45-hour workweek. The language of work is English, and you will be required to work independently with minimal supervision.
