About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team at Ocean Rain International Daycare Center Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of child-care programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social growth of children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Assist in creating and implementing child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children.
  • Support to Educators: Collaborate with early childhood educators to carry out programs that promote the overall development of children.
  • Activity Leadership: Lead engaging activities, such as storytelling, singing, and educational outings, to stimulate children's curiosity and creativity.
  • Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining accurate records of children's progress and development.
  • Environment Maintenance: Help maintain a safe and healthy environment that supports the well-being of children.
  • Observation and Reporting: Monitor children's behavior and development, and prepare reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Setting: Child care centre.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check.
  • Availability: Availability for shift or on-call work, and the advertised start date.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 40 hours per week.
