Physician Support Specialist

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a Physician to support the Opiate Recovery Program in Truro and New Glasgow. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with experienced physicians, nurses, and social workers to provide support to clients participating in the program.
Key Responsibilities- Provide medical support to clients in the Opiate Recovery Program
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Participate in mentoring and orientation sessions to ensure a smooth transition into the program
- Contribute to the development of program policies and procedures
- 3-hour clinics up to 3 times per week
- Time is paid through sessional hours
- Flexibility in clinic days/times is available, including weekly, bi-weekly, monthly, and intermittent clinics
- Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia
- Eligible for certification with the College of Family Physicians of Canada
- Member of the Canadian Medical Protective Association
