Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Wind Turbine Technician to support various operational tasks throughout Canada. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills and certifications to work on wind turbines effectively. Previous experience in electrical and mechanical systems is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all Health and Safety regulations to foster a zero-incident work environment.
  • Conduct scheduled maintenance on Wind Turbine Generators, including inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and the proper tensioning of bolted connections.
  • Implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
  • Perform electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Follow established work protocols for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining Wind Turbine components.
  • Document and communicate client and company information daily.
  • Ensure a tidy work area, including tools and equipment.
  • Complete additional tasks as directed by Site Management.
  • Maintain necessary training certifications for the role (Fall Protection/Rescue Training, NFPA 70E, OSHA 10, LOTO, First Aid/CPR/AED).

Candidate Profile:
We are looking for individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, possess a positive attitude, and have a willingness to learn. Ideal candidates will have:

  • A passion for Renewable Energy.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Wind Turbine Technician.
  • Valid GE training certifications for LOTO/maintenance and additional advanced GE certifications.
  • Strong electro-mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance skills.
  • Experience with motors, rotors, drives, gears, or similar components.
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools, including torque tools.
  • A valid Driver's License.
  • Digital literacy, with proficiency in mobile applications.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Able to travel across Canada.
  • Physical capability to lift 23kg (50 lbs) and work at heights (up to 400 ft).
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and extreme temperatures.
  • Post-secondary education in electrical or mechanical fields is an asset.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
