Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Crane Service Technician to join our team in Stoney Creek, Ontario. As a key member of our service team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance work on overhead lifting equipment at our customers' sites throughout Ontario.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform regular inspections of overhead crane lifting equipment to ensure compliance with current standards
  • Diagnose faults, identify causes, and make necessary repairs for problems of any complexity
  • Analyze breakages and recommend corrective actions to prevent future issues
  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Modify equipment as required to meet specific work needs
  • Interact with skilled tradespeople, operators, supervisors, equipment suppliers, and customers to provide excellent service
  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, inspections, and maintenance
  • Generate detailed reports outlining work performed, parts used, and recommendations for future maintenance or upgrades

Requirements

  • Certified Journeyman Electrician with a minimum of 4 years of crane experience
  • Electrical and/or mechanical experience
  • Experience in electromechanical troubleshooting (an asset)
  • Experience in overhead lifting equipment (an asset)
  • Ability to read Electrical and Mechanical Blueprints
  • Strong initiative, creativity, and punctuality
  • Good observation skills and customer relations
  • Ability to manage pressure, prioritization, and day-to-day challenges
  • Valid driver's license
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Ability to work standing or in awkward positions for long periods
  • Hardworking, available, and willing to travel throughout Ontario
  • Safety-conscious mindset
