Sander Geophysics Limited is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician to join our team. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing sophisticated airborne remote sensing equipment, analyzing data for quality control, and performing software testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair airborne remote sensing equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- Analyze data for quality control, identifying and resolving issues to ensure accurate results.
- Read and understand electrical and electronic drawings, diagrams, and schematics.
- Maintain and upgrade proprietary real-time acquisition software, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Perform real-time software testing, identifying and resolving issues to ensure optimal performance.
- Design, build, and test printed circuit boards (PCBs), ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Fabricate, test, and design acquisition systems, integrating multiple components and technologies.
- Develop and write assembly procedures, ensuring clear and concise instructions for technicians.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and maintenance.
Qualifications and Experience
- Recent graduate from an Electronics Technician/Technologist program or similar field.
- Demonstrated experience in circuit board assembly and repair, with a strong understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
- Knowledge of PC assembly and testing, with experience working with various operating systems and software.
- Familiarity with printed circuit board manufacturing principles and design, including PCB layout and fabrication.
- Valid passport or ability to obtain a valid passport, with willingness to travel globally for extended periods on short notice.
- Ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages, with a strong understanding of cultural diversity.
- Knowledge of Linux and embedded systems, with experience working with various programming languages and development tools.
