About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our team at Weather On Demand. As an Electrical Engineering Technician, you will play a key role in the design, development, and testing of our cutting-edge weather monitoring systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the design and development of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
  • Testing and Analysis: Assist in the testing and analysis of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Research and Development: Conduct applied research in fields of electrical and electronic engineering and physics to improve our weather monitoring systems.
  • Estimates and Reports: Assist in preparing estimates, schedules, specifications, and reports for electrical and electronic projects.
  • Inspecting and Testing: Assist in inspecting, testing, and adjusting electronic components to ensure they are functioning correctly.
  • Test Equipment Operation: Set up and operate specialized and standard test equipment to diagnose, test, and analyze the performance of electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality work and accurate results.
  • Physically Demanding: Perform physically demanding tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Term: Permanent.
  • Hours: 30 hours per week.
