Head of Asset Management

McNeill Nakamoto is seeking a seasoned professional to lead our asset management efforts. As Head of Asset Management, you will play a critical role in driving the company's growth and success by fostering new relationships, financial performance, and trust amongst the capital markets and housing developers.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Housing Asset Management: Oversee comprehensive housing asset and financial management, including handling shared equity housing leasing strategy and sales team oversight, decisions on renewals and terminations.
  2. Collaboration and Strategy: Collaborate closely with real estate marketing leaders for new building launches and strategizing to enhance revenue and property optimization.
  3. Operational Goals: Ensure operational goals are met by coordinating with property management.
  4. Financial Oversight: Provide financial oversight including managing budgets, monitoring costs, and coordinating with the accounting team.
  5. Tenant Relations: Have final decision-making authority on managing tenant relations, resolving disputes, and working with various stakeholders, including legal counsel and consultants, to monitor their performance.
  6. Relationship Building: Facilitate new relationships with Ontario-based developers to create a pipeline of new housing assets.
  7. Stakeholder Management: Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including other professionals, investment bankers, property management companies, as well as larger portfolio managers and investment advisors.
  8. Special Projects: Manage and coordinate special projects or innovations.

Requirements:

  1. Education: Completion of MBA, CFA, Masters in Finance or a Bachelor's Degree with a finance specialization.
  2. Business Acumen: Exceptional business acumen to effectively support multiple domains, including team operations, communications, stakeholder and external relations, and management.
  3. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  4. Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Office tools and other relevant software.
  5. Leadership: Driven and self-motivated to pursue growth and expand an asset base and organization.
