Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure, cut, and install drywall sheets to meet specifications
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound
  • Apply successive coats of compound and sand seams and joints to achieve a smooth finish
  • Clean and prepare surfaces for installation
  • Estimate costs and materials for drywall installation projects
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience in drywall installation
  • Ability to work in a dusty environment
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods
Work Environment:

Drywall Installers work in a variety of settings, including construction sites, renovation projects, and manufacturing facilities. The work environment can be physically demanding, with exposure to dust, noise, and other hazards.
