About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Communication Officer to join our team at Fields of Harvest Church (FOHC). As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in promoting our organization's mission and values through effective communication and outreach.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies
    • Design and implement communication plans to promote FOHC's programs and services
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community leaders, media representatives, and government officials
  • Manage Public Relations
    • Respond to media inquiries and provide accurate and timely information about FOHC's activities and initiatives
    • Develop and disseminate press releases, media advisories, and other public relations materials
  • Coordinate Community Outreach
    • Develop and implement community outreach programs to promote FOHC's mission and values
    • Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to build partnerships and promote mutual understanding
  • Provide Administrative Support
    • Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other materials as needed
    • Provide administrative support to the FOHC team as required
Requirements
  • Education
    • College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
Working Conditions

This is a temporary position with a 40-hour workweek. The successful candidate will be required to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
