Job Title: Millwright

AGS Automotive Systems is a leading manufacturer of complex automotive metal components, serving the heavy truck market and other industries.

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team, responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of heavy equipment and machinery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform duties as outlined by the Provincial Government in accordance with Regulated Trade 433A Industrial Mechanic Millwright.
  • Operate and maintain a range of equipment, including machine tools, lathes, mills, grinders, and drills.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and repair work on automatic lube systems and other equipment.
  • Remove and replace broken equipment parts, and perform overhauls and major repairs to plant machinery and equipment.
  • Assist in the installation and setup of heavy or light equipment, and dismantle, match mark, and identify component parts for moving or shipping.
  • Perform welding and brazing functions, and use acetylene equipment such as torches.
  • Work in compliance with the Safety Act and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Valid Ontario License Certificate of Qualification issued by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities.
  • Certified Lift Truck Driver.
  • Health and Safety related training.
