Unit Summary:

The Regional Rehabilitation Centre provides an outpatient rehabilitation program that focuses on assessing and treating individuals with workplace injuries. The Physiotherapist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including Psychology, Occupational Therapy, and Kinesiology professionals. The service delivery model includes personalized rehabilitation, work hardening sessions, and educational group sessions tailored to the needs of the patient population.

Position Responsibilities:

As part of a collaborative healthcare team, the Physiotherapist will coordinate, evaluate, and deliver care to patients with various outpatient neurological and musculoskeletal requirements. The Therapist will engage effectively with team members and community organizations to ensure comprehensive care and adherence to reporting protocols.

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday; day and evening shifts

Qualifications:
  1. Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario is mandatory.
  2. Graduation from an accredited Physiotherapy program is required.
  3. Proven experience in managing patients with musculoskeletal or acquired brain injuries within the last five years.
  4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  5. Experience with WSIB Occupational Health Assessment Programs and Specialty Treatment programs is essential.
  6. Strong leadership, communication, critical thinking, and clinical reasoning skills are necessary.
  7. Experience in collaborating with and supervising support personnel is required.
  8. Knowledge of evidence-based Physiotherapy practices is expected.
  9. Ability to effectively communicate with diverse stakeholder groups.
  10. Understanding of patient safety protocols is crucial.
  11. Physical capability to perform tasks involving bending, lifting, and transferring patients.
  12. Commitment to supporting educational opportunities for students and participating in professional development initiatives.
