Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our System IVV team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the integration and testing of various features of the LightSpeed system.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining test cases and test beds for various test cases.
  • Performing hands-on testing in the Leo Lab for various data path and routing features.
  • Collaborating with other segments like DevOps, Ground Systems, Satellite to foster a collaborative and innovative environment.
  • Ensuring the product under test meets technical, functional, performance, and business requirements.
  • Working as part of a scrum team in an Agile development environment.
  • Maintaining the lab functional and updating with known hardware and software configuration to execute various test scenarios as necessary.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience with hands-on testing with various networking technologies.
  • At least 5 years of experience in one or more networking technologies, including but not limited to LEO satellite communications, mesh networking, edge computing platforms, network encryption, etc.
  • Experience with CI/CD and simulated software testing methodologies.
  • Experience with various IP Test equipment like Ixia.
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
  • Automation experience with programming languages like Python.
  • The ability to legally work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).
