Key Responsibilities  

We're looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain web applications using a strongly-typed Object Oriented Language such as C# or Java. Key responsibilities include:

  • Working with our DevOps team to improve our CI/CD pipeline

  • Able to interpret business requirements and translate into technical outcomes

  • Optimizing the stack for performance, security, and scalability within new projects and existing code

  • Following best practices and coding standards

  • Documenting code and functionality

  • Contributing to component library to ensure a robust component-based framework

  • Contributing to creation and sustaining measurable and actionable development KPIs

  • Leading a team of developers, conducting code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the quality and delivery of projects

  • Collaborating with team leads, project managers, and stakeholders in an agile environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field, or commensurate work experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a full stack developer or similar role

  • Proven experience with strongly-typed OOP back end programming, its associated concepts, and patterns

  • Must have worked with React to integrate back end

  • Development tools such as Maven, NuGet, etc.

  • Relational and non-relational databases such as PostGres, MongoDB, etc.

  • Experience with Git as a version control tool and a branching methodology GitFlow

  • Cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, etc.

  • Experience with developing net new microservices

  • Experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins

  • Containerization knowledge such as Docker, Kubernetes preferred

  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently and in a team

  • Experience with Angular, Node, Typescript preferred

  • Ability to write/use tooling to facilitate/streamline their work preferred
