About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Price and Cost Analyst to join our team at Home Hardware Stores. As a key member of our pricing team, you will play a critical role in analyzing competitor pricing and market trends to determine optimal pricing strategies for our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct competitor analysis on similar products to evaluate target pricing structures.
  • Scope out opportunities based on market trends and industry conditions to identify ideal pricing structures for promotional values.
  • Draft strategic pricing plans and processes to improve existing projects.
  • Create reports reflecting metrics and project status, objectives, and barriers.
  • Communicate findings effectively to relevant departments of the company.
  • Work with the merchant and marketing teams to define pricing structure for company products.
  • Address issues and concerns raised by team members relating to pricing suggestions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, or Economics.
  • Experience with complex database queries, reports, and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to both business and technical staff.
  • Ability to be flexible and adaptable while operating independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office products (Excel, Access, Word), Oracle, Discoverer, and Power BI (Business Intelligence).
  • Ability to prioritize and react to changing situations; ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Retail experience with hardware and/or building materials.
  • Ability to work onsite three days a week at our corporate office.
