Position Overview

The role of a Culinary Support Staff is essential in maintaining the efficiency and cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas. This position requires a commitment to high standards of food service and sanitation.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role ranging from 1 to less than 7 months is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver clean dishes, utensils, and other dining items to serving areas and ensure tables are properly set.
  • Clear and sanitize tables, trays, and seating areas to maintain a clean environment.
  • Assist in loading buspans and trays for efficient service.
  • Organize and store dishes in designated areas.
  • Restock condiments and supplies at tables and serving stations.
  • Maintain records of food usage to assist in inventory management.
  • Prepare take-out food packages as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation, heating, and finishing of simple food items.
  • Manage stock levels in refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Handle and store cleaning supplies safely.
  • Dispose of kitchen waste and refuse appropriately.
  • Sharpen kitchen knives to ensure proper maintenance.
  • Perform cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors.
  • Wash, peel, and cut vegetables and fruits as required.
