About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Animal Care Attendant to join our team at the BC SPCA. As a key member of our shelter staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of the animals in our care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional animal care and attention to detail in maintaining a clean and safe environment for animals
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve a positive and harmonious atmosphere among staff and volunteers
  • Support front office staff with telephone reception, counter inquiries, and other communications
  • Assist with animal surrenders, adoptions, and other related duties
  • Perform general office routines and record keeping
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Class N or 5 BC Drivers' License and driver's abstract
  • Demonstrable interest in animal welfare and knowledge of animal behavior
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work as a team player and prioritize demands on time
