Job Title: Elementary Emergency Instructor

We are seeking a qualified Elementary Emergency Instructor to join our team at the Niagara Catholic District School Board.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for covering classrooms in the absence of the classroom teacher, ensuring the safety and success of our students. This is a temporary position, and the ideal candidate will have excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow a teaching plan left by the classroom teacher where possible
  • Maintain proper order and discipline in the teacher's classroom, while on duty in the school and on the school grounds
  • Remain in contact with the School Principal or Vice Principal on a frequent basis throughout the school day to ensure the safety of all students

Requirements:

  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma
  • Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred
